Cyber Space & Your Children

It saddens me to wittness parents go off to work and let their children come home to an empty house/home/apartment etc.

Our children need loving arms to return home to, not a TV full of sex, guts, & violance, or computer where prediators are.

Face Book, My Space, Chat Rooms, TV's,  Computers,  are FULL of 2 legged Prediators, pedifiles, rapist, abusers, need I go on, and YOUR allowing these kind of people to entertain & raise your children. They come into your home where your child should feel the safest and tell the empty child everything they  the child need's "YOU" to be telling them, and then they (_____) with your child. Where are you??  Why arn't you there when your child needs you the most?

Why are you allowing you 10 yr old child , 13yr old child, 15 yr old child to be on the computer UNSUPERVISED for these kind of animals to contact. And how about the cell phones, who are they texting and sending messages to on my space & face book?? Do you read and go over everything your child is involved with in the world of cyber space?

This is NOT a matter of trusting your child. You may very well indeed have an honest well brought up child, but the ones on line and in cyber space is another matter to be concerned with.

Single parnets, married couple all have to work, in a perfect world the Mom should be home raising her own precious children while her husband is off working. However today there is so many single parent homes, and I do understand that parents have to work in order to support themselves and their children. So with that being said I have some ideas for you.

Instead of your children coming home to an empty house, send them to Grandma's, how about after school activities at school, Some churches have after school activies for children. There is always the Boys & Girls club, youth centers. ETC. Have an older family member available to spend time with the children. I realise 15 yr old children don't want to go to babysitters, but they could go to friends homes where there is supervision. (SUPERVISION is the key word here)

How many wonderful children fall by the wayside and get caught up in the world of DRUGS & DRINKING, SEX before they fully understand the consquences, where do they fall from there. Having them busy keeps them from being iddle where these kinds of things begin to take over they empty lives

2 family incomes, sometimes sacrifices is a MUST when it comes to the lives of your children. Whats more important money or your childs life?

And thats my 2 cents worth...

Koffee Time - Weekly Review

What a day to have, Cooling temps outside, I'm a little spoiled after temps of high 60's & even 70 one day this week. Remember last week we had a foot of snow, funny time of year, one day it's winter and the next it's spring

Ron & I went out for dinner last evening. We went to Dixie Cafe and had a wonderful dinner, great service, even brought 1/2 of my dinner home as there was to much food. My only problem with our dinner was it must have been loaded with salt because I awoke this morning and my arm and hand we so swollen from fluid retention. I have to eat limited salt about 1,000 mg daily. Yes we will go back there again, but next time I'll try something with less salt. Funny thing is I didn't taste the salt and usually I can spot it right away... Hummn, something to ponder..

Took my Snickers, Sarah, & Spike to the groomers this morning. Boy do they need a good bath and trim. It's been about 7 weeks sence I last took them, but when we had the snow and ice I wasn't thinking of doggie hair cuts. Looking forward to seeing my little guy's face again.. Nothing worse then a poodle with to much hair.

So far this week, I've knitted on my shawl, crocheted 2 gnomes, knitted 2 baby hats with matching booties, & knitted 1 baby hat. Always keeping my hands busy & God Willing Blessings others as well.

Have a Blessed week everyone, and thanks for stopping by our BLOG

Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do... but how much love we put in that action.   ~ Mother Teresa

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. 1 Thess. 4:11,12

"He kept me safe another night, I see another day. Now, may His Spirit, as the light, direct me in His way."

Legend of the Cherokee Indian

Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of Passage?

His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out for help to anyone.

Once he survives the night, he is a MAN.

He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own.

The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him . Maybe even some human might do him

harm. The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man!

Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed hisblindfold.

It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the stump next to him.

He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.

 We, too, are never alone.

Even when we don't know it, God is watching over us, Sitting on the stump beside us.

When trouble comes, all we have to do is reach out to Him.

If you liked this story, pass it on. If not, you took off your blindfold before dawn.

Moral of the story:

Just because you can't see God,

Doesn't mean He is not there.

"For we walk by faith, not by sight."

Febuary News

                                             {Awesome Photo}

I haven't written much lately so I thought I'd drop a few lines before my day begins. Being retired now, there always something to do and never enough time to get it all finished. Priorities is a must, whats most important, and what absoutle needs to be completed.

It's Febuary already, it COLD, Grey and yuk outside as we speak. Were due for yet another storm to begin anytime producing another 3 or 4 inches of SNOW.. Now mind you, I love the snow, always have, hopefully always will, but and I mean BUT when my Beloved Ron is home from work, our Daughter and Granddaughter are home and safe in their home, then I can relax and enjoy the snow.

Driving in the snow is one thing, the ice on the road from the melt off is completly another thing. Ice is so dangerous and uncontrolable, frightening for me anyhow. I hybernate to keep from being out on the ice

My Beloved is scheldulded to go to Dallas again later this month to school. I hate it when he's gone and this is such a bad time of year for anyone to be traveling (driving) long distance.. Keeping this situation deep within prayers.

I have been busy crocheting lately. I've made 6 Cozy Cuddle sets (Cozy Sac, Hat, Mitts, & Booties) for babies. Each dedicated to one of our 6 Granddaughters. They each have such a nice design. Click on their photo to enlarge the design, Good job if I do say so

Now I'm finishing my un-finished projects I've started and going to make a new Prayer Shawl for someone special. Don't know who will recieve it yet, (God will guide me in that decidion), but I so enjoy making them and Praying for the reciever.. Exciting

Have a Blessed month, If you don't have a Valentine, find a Senior Citizen and Bless their lives with some God Inspired Love

Global Warming

Hundreds Gather to Protest Global Warming!

Psalm 91

                                                      Psalm 91

1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

                                       The Promise of GOD

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land."

II Chronicles 7:14
