Yarn Bowls

Yarn Bowls © Joe Ottendorf

Last year when yarn bowls came out and all the knitters and crocheters
wanted one, I also wanted one, but knew we couldn't afford one. They
were selling anywhere from $20.- to &55.- & $65.- and that my friends
will buy alot of grocery's.

Christmas 2014
Every Christmas, My brother & wife come to spend Christmas with
Mom (for those of you who don't know, My Mom lives next door to us)
and they brought a friend with them (Joe Ottendorf). They called me
over and Joe had brought me a green yarn bowl and presented it to me
for Christmas. I was on top of the world because I had wanted one and
couldn't justify spending the money on one. Joe makes them from
pottery and I fell in love with my yarn bowl... I told Joe I would treasure
it always and thanked him and have used my bowl 24/7 for the entire year,
and when I thought of Joe's gift I've sent special Prayers Heaven ward in
his behalf..

Christmas 2015
Well yesterday my brother (Lanny & wife Delores) came down from
Branson to spend the day with Mom again, and yes they brought Joe
with them again. Mom called me over there again (I try to stay at home
so Lanny can have some one on one time alone with Mom when he comes
to visit as I do when my Sister (Stacy) comes to visit). I went over and
Joe presented me with another yarn bowl, this time is Brick Oven Red
and just as beautiful as my green one. Again I thanked him for his loving
gift and said I'd treasure it always,

For someone who wanted a yarn bowl, and never said anything to anyone
about wanting one, God knew my heart and used Joe to Bless me not once
but twice with yarn bowls... Thank You Jesus

I'm thinking I'll use my green bowl for my knitting, and my red one for
Crocheting, Maybe... smile, or maybe both or knitting, only the Lord
knows... Smile

Joe Ottendorf makes and sells his Pottory Yarn Bowls (made by hand
here in the Ozarks - Look on the bottom of bowls, you'll see Joe's name
and Made in the Ozarks along with the year he made it) in Craft Stores
in Branson, so if your wanting one, You'd be Blessing a "Vet", as well as
Blessing a "Hillbilly" here and from the Ozarks. Look for Joe's Pottory
Yarn Bowls and I thank you in advance for your support

Spiritual Adoption

Please spiritually adopt an unborn baby.

Every day over 4,000 babies are killed by abortion.
They have so little protection only the hand of God
can end this massacre.  Prayer is the best weapon
to help them-the most effective.

Say this prayer every day for nine months to save a
baby’s life!

“Heavenly Father, My Precious Jesus, I love you very
much. I beg you to spare the life of [baby’s name] the
unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in
danger of abortion.”

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” (Jeremiah 1:5)

Please pray! The babies are counting on us.

Remember to pray daily for your spiritual adopted baby
and the baby's parents.  During your earthly life this
spiritually adopted child of yours is known only to God,
but in the world to come it is hoped that you will meet the
child whose life was spared by your prayers and spend eternal
happiness with them.  This prayer will make a difference between
life and death for a special child.

This is done by encouraging people to "spiritually adopt" an
unborn baby, and to follow their baby along the path to being born.

How does it work?
It's very simple. Participants pledge to pray for nine months
for a baby in danger of abortion.  While this child will remain
unknown to his or her 'spiritual parent', God knows who the
child is. Many people have found that naming 'their child'
helps to keep them focused on the reality that their prayers
are helping to save a particular baby from the harm of abortion.

The Spiritual Adoption  is for anyone who is concerned about
abortion, and who is willing to pray for babies in danger of
abortion, "that they might have life and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

Precious Lord, let your mantle of protection fall upon all the
unborn children of the world. Save them from any harm and nurture
within their souls a predisposition towards holiness. Amen.

“Heavenly Father, My Precious Jesus, I love you very much. I
beg you to spare the life of [baby’s name] the unborn baby that
I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.”

These are 2 different types of homeless packs you can put together to give to those who are less fortunate & or homeless.

The top photo show a great pack to keep in your car (1 for each person in your family) just in case of an emergency. One never knows when you might have a need for this and you would thrilled to have something to nibble on if broken down waiting for help to come along.

Joshua 24:15 (KJV) & Philippians 2:10 (KJV)

Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

What a sad day for America when it turns its back on God!

Off Color Humor

This photo say it all, it's one of my favorite sayings and I tell others this whenever
the opportunity arrives, it's a freeing process of loving yourself enough to  forgive
and move on with your life. This doesn't mean you forget, only that you'll not be in
bondage by what others have done.. JMSQ 5/30/2015

Thank You Michelle Lane-Perkins for sharing this on Face Book 5/30/2015:

Off-Color Humor

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the heare...rs.... Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
—Ephesians 4:29, 5:4

One of the most shocking things in the church is the dirty-mouthed Christian who always walks on the borderline. There is no place for borderline stories that embarrass some people, and there is nothing about sex or the human body that is funny if your mind is clean.

There was once a gathering of officers, and George Washington was present in the room. One of the young officers began to think about a dirty story that he wanted to tell, and he got a smirk on his face. He looked around and said, "I'm thinking of a story. I guess there are no ladies present." Washington straightened up and said, "No, young man, but there are gentlemen." The young officer shut his mouth and kept the dirty story inside his dirty head and heart.

Anything you could not tell with Jesus present, do not tell. Anything you could not laugh at were Jesus present, do not laugh at.

What an important reminder, Lord! Keep my thoughts pure. Amen.

George Washingtons Prayer

From: Julie Ann Smith (On Face Book)
Was looking for images this morning for "praying for America" and ran across this amazing portrait of our first president George Washington praying... which lea...d me to his "Monday morning prayer" from George Washington's Prayer Journal. Thought I'd share it:

O eternal and everlasting God, I presume to present myself this morning before thy Divine majesty, beseeching thee to accept of my humble and hearty thanks, that it hath pleased thy great goodness to keep and preserve me the night past from all the dangers poor mortals are subject to, and has given me sweet and pleasant sleep, whereby I find my body refreshed and comforted for performing the duties of this day, in which I beseech thee to defend me from all perils of body and soul.
Direct my thoughts, words and work. Wash away my sins in the immaculate blood of the lamb, and purge my heart by thy Holy Spirit, from the dross of my natural corruption, that I may with more freedom of mind and liberty of will serve thee, the ever lasting God, in righteousness and holiness this day, and all the days of my life.

Increase my faith in the sweet promises of the Gospel. Give me repentance from dead works. Pardon my wanderings, & direct my thoughts unto thyself, the God of my salvation. Teach me how to live in thy fear, labor in thy service, and ever to run in the ways of thy commandments. Make me always watchful over my heart, that neither the terrors of conscience, the loathing of holy duties, the love of sin, nor an unwillingness to depart this life, may cast me into a spiritual slumber. But daily frame me more and more into the likeness of thy son Jesus Christ, that living in thy fear, and dying in thy favor, I may in thy appointed time attain the resurrection of the just unto eternal life. Bless my family, friends & kindred unite us all in praising & glorifying thee in all our works begun, continued, and ended, when we shall come to make our last account before thee blessed Saviour, who hath taught us thus to pray, our Father.

Teeth

Morning All, On Monday past I had dental work done. Still in a lot of pain not from the dental work, but from the blisters from the dentures.

60 yrs old, I've never had a nice smile, (NEVER) truly, always ugly and in bad need of braces when I was younger and could ill afford to do such. Now I had what was left of them removed and have a BEAUTIFUL smile. Problem is, the blisters... Today is better then yesterday, and I'm sure in time they will begin to feel like my teeth, patience is the key and I've always been short on patience... smile

Yesterday we were at Wal-Mart no less then 2 hours. It was the 1st of the month, welfare checks & Social Security checks were out and so it was extra busy, by the time I got out to the van I was in such pain I had to take out my teeth and drive home toothless.

I have more understanding of those living and functioning without teeth in their mouths. (LESSON LEARNED LORD) Don't judge someone by their lack of teeth, they may be brilliant and in a lot of pain, one never knows

Misfit Dolls

                                   "JMSQ "Copyright © 3/25/2015

                                         Q- Twins
                         (L) Quillan Edward (Eddie)
                         (R) Quillanne Elizabeth (Lizzie)

The Q-Twins were in inspiration for my dolls, Quillanne was my 1st
doll made and I just thought she was so sweet, visions of her twin
brother Quillan were made in my mind, but as it turned out, he was
actually my 4th dolls made... I love the names Quillan & Quillanne
so thus it belongs to these little lovely's.

These are my Misfits. (I hear the song in Rudolff the red nose raindeer,
Why am I such a misfit).

These dolls are each made by hand, each have their own character and
personality, each filled with love , and await the love of a child.

They help teach your child that you are still of high value even with
all your imperfections. None of us are perfect, but we all need to be
loved.

Some have flowers, X's, some of the legs might have different colored
feet, ears maybe, even or the same color, I make them as God leads,..
Fun to share

I'm giving God all the Glory in this project of love,

God Is Love

                                         John 3:16

1 John 4:8b-11; 14-16 (KJV) God Is Love

God Is Love, in this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that
God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might love through
Him Here in is Love, not that we loved God, but that He loves us and sent
His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us,
we ought also to love one another

14-16 (KJV)
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the i
Savour of the World. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son
of God, God dwelleth in him and he in God.And we have know and
believed the love that God hath to us GOD IS LOVE; and he that
dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in him.

Knit or Crochet a Row

This is such a great idea, I wish in the "USA" our favorite restaurants &
Dr's Offices, Hospitals, Craft Stores, & Yarn Shops,  Etc. Would set this
out and help our local children with warm scarfs for the winter,

I sure would work on a scarf while waiting, you could knit or crochet
while waiting instead of entertaining yourself of the phone... Oh Yea

Knit:
Simply co 18 sts and begin knitting, knit your scarf the length of knitting
needle 3 times and bind off. Add fringe to both ends or not, it's up tp you

Crochet:
Row 1: Ch 18 sts, 1 hdc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 hdc in each ch across,
ch 1 turn

Row 2: 1 hdc in each st across (18 sts)

Row 3: Repeat row 2 until scarf measures about  46" - 50". add fringe
on ends or not.

Trust in the Lord with (ALL) your heart and lean not on your own
understanding; In (ALL) your ways knowledge Him, and He will
make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV)
