Heartfelt Scripture

                                                                Psalm 84:11 NIV

For the Lord God is a sun, and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing dows He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

Note:
God does not promise to give us everything we think is good, but He will not withhold what is permantly good. He will give us the means to walk along His paths, but we must do the walking. When we obey Him, He will not hold anything back that will help us serve Him

Silly Questions

So I ask myself some silly questions

1.) Why is it, when I say to our Precious Snickers, do you, or let's, go for a walk, he gets excited?

2.) Would you like to go for a ride? He goes to the door??

3.) Do you want dinner? He spins in circles??

4.) when it's time to go to the groomers, he shakes? How does he know?

5.) When it's time for Dad to come home from work? He go to the door??

                                 {our's is Blue, it hangs on his leash}
6.) So just how do dog's understand anyhow?, When walking and he has to go poop, after he stops and waits for me to bend down and scoop up the poop with our cute little bags, how does he know I'm going to do that??? I mean, he's known from the very first time?

Now when it's vacation time and we'll be planning to do this or that, I sit with him and tell him well in advance what the plans are and just how he fits into this mystery, but somehow he just seems to know everything before and at the precise time whats going to happen or take place in our lives

So I ask myself, How does He know??? HUMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNN

Dog Poop Etiquette

Today, I stopped to mail a letter and had to tip toe around someones
DOG CRAP. This is NOT FAIR to the other people living in this park to
have to clean up after someone else's DOG POOP MESS.. PERIOD!!!
My own mother has trouble walking on the rocks at the mail box, now she has
to worry about stepping in DOG CRAP, I don't think so, ENOUGH is ENOUGH

This is truly how I feel:
If you want to have your furry friends, let them CRAP in YOUR OWN
YARD, ~OR~ CLEAN IT UP AS SOON AS YOUR DOG CRAPS,
so others won't have to be offened by your lack of caring or curtisy.

{This is the despenser we personally use, only our's is blue, we bought it at Wal-Mart for $5.00, with 2 rolls of bags. It hangs on the handle of our leash and always ready to go for our walks. I highly reccomend it. Once empty you can either buy refill bags [120 for $5.00 @ Wal-Mart] or use bags from your local Dallor store [30 bags for $1.00]

                                             {More cute bag dispensers}

I have given away poop bags to several of our neighbors, yet, none use them
excupt Mom & myself.. This saddens me to no end. This is our home,
we want it to be nice for everyone and that means everyone should do their
part and keep their own yards, DOG MESS'es, & children cleaned
up after.
                                           "Clean Up After Your Dog!"

No person owning or having a right to control any animal shall permit such
animal to do any of the following:

1. Defecate or urinate on private property other than the private property of
the owner or the person having a right to control the animal;

2. Defecate on public property without immediately cleaning or removing
the excrement to a proper receptacle.’

I believe every dog owner has a responsibility to pick up after their dog.
It’s such a shame that a small number of owners put dogs in a bad light,
as there are millions of responsible owners and well-behaved dogs out there!

Last Respects

                                                   Last Respects...

One day the members of a large church were greeted with a sign on the front door. The sign said: "The person who has been hindering your walk with the Lord has died." We invite you to attend the funeral after this mornings service." At first everyone was sad to hear that one of their fellow members had died, but after a while they started getting curious about who this person might be that had hindered their walk with the Lord. The interest grew as the members arrived to pay their last respects. Everyone wondered: "Who is this person who was hindering my progress?" One by one the members got closer to the coffin and when they looked inside it they suddenly became speechless. They stood over the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul. There was a mirror inside the coffin and everyone who looked inside it could see their own reflection. One by one the members realized that they had only themselves to blame for not taking time to read their Bible daily, not going to the Lord in prayer, not allowing God to use them, not serving the Lord as they should. It was no ones fault but their own that they were not growing in their walk with the Lord. It wasn't long til conviction set in, repentence was put forth, revival broke out, and lives were changed. Are you hindering your own walk?

NOTE:
Thank You Pam for sharing this with us.. Bless You Dear Sister

Thorn Birds

                                          THE THORN BIRDS
                                         By Colleen McCullough

Long Ago, there was a bird who sang just once in its life.

From the moment it left its nest, it searched for a thorn tree.

and it never rested until it found one.

Then it began to sing more sweetly

than any other creature on the face of the earth.

And singing, it impaled its breast on the longest, sharpest thorn.

But as it was dying, it rose above its own agony

to out-sing the lark and the nightingale.

The thorn bird pays its life for that one song

and the whole world stills to listen

and God, in His heaven ~smiles.

As its best was bought only at the cost of great pain.

Driven to the thorn, with no knowledge of the dying to come.

But when we press the thorn to our breast,

We know........

We understand.....

And still......we do it.
