Row 1: Ch 60, 1 hdc in second ch from hook, & in remaining ch’s, ch 2 and turn

Row 2: {ch 2 counts as dc} 1 dc in each st across, ch 2 turn (60 sts)

Row 3-8: Repeat row 2

Row 9: 1 hdc in each st across *{& ch 1 space where applies} , ch 2 turn

Row 10: 1 dc in 17 sts, ch 1, skip 2 sts, 1 dc in next st, then work 1 dc “BEHIND” dc you just worked, ch 1, skip next dc, dc in 7 sts, ch 1, sk 2 sts, 1 dc in next st, then work 1 dc "BEHIND" dc you just worked, ch 1, sk next st, 1 dc in 7 sts, ch 1, sk 2 sts, 1 dc in next st, then work 1 dc "BEHIND" dc you just worked, ch 1 sk 1 st, 1 dc in last 17 sts, ch 2 turn

Row 11: Repeat row 9 . (60 sts)

Row 12 & 14: Repeat row 10

Row 13 & 15: Repeat row 9

Row 22: 1 dc in 28 sts, ch 1, skip 2 sts, 1 dc in next st, then work 1 dc “BEHIND” dc you just worked, ch 1, skip next dc, dc in last 28 sts,

Row 23: Repeat row 9 (60 sts)

Row 24: dc in next 22 sts, ch 1, skip 2 sts, 1 dc in next, then work 1 dc “BEHIND” dc you just worked, ch 1, skip next dc (total of 5 times) , dc in next 22 sts, ch 2 turn.

Row 25 : Repeat row 9

Row 26 : 1 dc in 19 sts, *ch 1, skip 2 sts, 1 dc in next, then work 1 dc “BEHIND” dc you just worked, *Repeat 6 "more" times (Total of 7 X sts made) ch 1, dc in remainding 19 sts,

Row 27 & 29: Repeat row 9 (60 sts)

Row 28 & 30: Repeat row 22

Row 31: Repeat Row 2 until shawl measures 65-70", finish of & add Trim
ADD TRIM:
Cut yarn 5", take 2 strands, fold in half inset in each st on ends of Shawl
