Doesn't Snickers look thrilled to be seen on the foot stool along with this Trinket Box I was finishishing? He's such a spoiled lil poodle he just had to get on the stool to make sure I wasn't giving the doll any extra attention....
He's such a stinker, but he knows he's cute and we sure do Love him...
Pattern for the "Ozark Trinket Box" can be found at the bottom of our Blog along with all my other patterns.. enjoy

Depression - By Spiritual Warrior
Prayer for sufferers of depression ~ God, I can't do this anymore! Please take m...y hand and don't let go. God, shield me from the Darkside and let me see through Your eyes! God, give me the wisdom to discern where my thoughts come from. God, give me the courage and strength to win the battle raging in my mind. Continually pray this and keep in contact with positive people so that the Angels can do their work! ♥ No Fear, Love Always! ♥
Too many in this world try to deny the darkness within, wanting only to show the light to the world. But to find peace of the Spirit one must embrace both equally and fully as both sides are the key to who you are. Only then will true peace be found.

Wise Owl
There was an old owl.. Who lived in an oak;
The more he heard.. The less he spoke.
The less he spoke.. The more he heard.
Why aren't we like.. That wise old bird?

Koffee Time
Oh the girls are preparing for a trip to Calif. next week and I'm missing them already. I hate it when our family isn't home safe and sound where I can reach out any time and touch them. I know it will only be for a week but it's going to be a LOOOOOONG week for me thats for sure & for certain
On the flip side of the girls vacation, I'm always so Blessed when all 3 of our children are able to be together and enjoy eachother. We have 3 of the most wonderful children in the world, I wouldn't change a thing, I'd do things differently if I had it to do over again (now that I'm older and know so much more) but by and by, God worked things out, and our children are beyond AWESOME, and we're so BLESSED to have them in our lives... Thank You Lord!!!
The weather here in the Beautiful Ozarks goes from being warm to hot, then like today nice and cool. Thats what Fall is all about, temp changes as well as leave changes. I'm not sure if we'll have much of a show this year with our leaves of color because of the extreme heat we had this summer with little or no rain, but whatever God brings will be much appreacheted and well loved.
This weekend is our fall festival at the square. Starts today and goes through Sunday, Festive activities and crafts, food, entertainment etc. If you happen to be in Harrison, come by and enjoy yourself, sure to be loads of fun for everyone...
Lamb Is The Light

Hands
Hands tell a story. They reflect the heart and tell of service or selfishness, healing or hurting, giving or receiving etc... Unmanaged hands will grab for power, strangle for survival, seduce for pleasure. Managed hands become instruments of grace, tools in the hands of God. They become the very hands of God!

Koffee Time
Wonderful day here in the Ozarks, Sun is shinning and birds are singing, even went out and ran to the store this afternoon, Wonderful outdoors
Finally got Aunt Lois settled in a wonderful Nursing home in Mt. Home. They have a special wing for patients with her problems and she's just as happy as can be in her own world. I haven't seen her look so good in several months, and OH how she was thrilled to see her Ron. She just adores Ron..
Hope your all having a Blessed week

The Green Thing
In the line at the store, the cashier told an older woman that she should bring her own grocery bags because plastic bags weren't good for the environment.
The woman apologized to him and explained, "We didn't have the green thing back in my day."
The clerk responded, "That's our problem today. Your generation did not care enough to save our environment."
He was right -- our generation didn't have the green thing in its day.
Back then, we returned milk bottles, soda bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over. So they really were recycled.
But we didn't have the green thing back in our day.
We walked up stairs, because we didn't have an escalator in every store and office building. We walked to the grocery store and didn't climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had to go two blocks.
But she was right. We didn't have the green thing in our day.
Back then, we washed the baby's diapers because we didn't have the throw-away kind. We dried clothes on a line, not in an energy gobbling machine burning up 220 volts -- wind and solar power really did dry the clothes. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing. But that old lady is right; we didn't have the green thing back in our day.
Back then, we had one TV, or radio, in the house -- not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a handkerchief (remember them?), not a screen the size of the state of Montana.
In the kitchen, we blended and stirred by hand because we didn't have electric machines to do everything for us.
When we packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, we used a wadded up old newspaper to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap.
Back then, we didn't fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. We used a push mower that ran on human power. We exercised by working so we didn't need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity.
But she's right; we didn't have the green thing back then.
We drank from a fountain when we were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time we had a drink of water.
We refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and we replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull.
But we didn't have the green thing back then.
Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or walked instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service.
We had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And we didn't need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 2,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest pizza joint.
But isn't it sad the current generation laments how wasteful we old folks were just because we didn't have the green thing back then?

Showing Favoritism
Why it's wrong to show favoritism:
1.) It is inconsistent with Christ's teachings
2.) It results from evil thoughts
3.) It insults people made in God's image.
4.) It is a by-product of selfish motives
5.) It goes against the Bibical definition of love
6.) It shows lack of mercy to those "less-fortunate"
7.) It is hypocritical
8.) It is sin

Calming Down Now
My 80 yr old Aunt has been in the hospital for 2 weeks. Yesterday late afternoon
they transfered her into a nursing home. She has full blown dementia and is
usually in her own world, but every once in awhile there is still a little ray
of light into the woman she once was.
Early last evening (Thursday) my Beloved and I went to see her and make sure
everything was alright. I had taken a wheel chair wrap, walker tote, 4 brand new
pj's sets, a 10 pk. of new panties, 5 pairs of new socks with the little rubber
stickies on the bottom of them. ALL labled with her name
Today I ran up to Wal-Mart to pick up some fresh snacks for her as she loves
little snacks and peanut butter. I labled all my plastic jars with her name on
them, peanut butter cups, peanut butter mini crackers, peanut butter crackers,
and un-salted peanuts, I also found her a little brown stuffed dog with white
and pink spots, adorable pink ears, labled everything and into her room I went
She grabbed her little dog and hugged it, loved on it and so forth. She enjoyed
some peanut butter cups, how she loves chocolate, she believes choclate was
created to keep women happy... (smile), then I looked around.
1 outfit was already missing, her wheel chair wrap, & walker tote were all gone.
In her walker tote was her glass case & photo of she and her little dog. all
gone (in less then 24 hrs), no one has a clue where they are or why they are missing.
When I told Mom they were already gone, we both kinda shock out heads and
decided Lois enjoyed them for the couple hours she had then. (deep inside I was
fuming), I wonder how long before her snacks are gone, at home they would last
her at least a week as she just nibbles every now and then
Some times I still am in shock at what others will do to the elderly, shame on
them and all involved...
You can be sure I will keep popping in all hours to keep an eye on her!!!

Psyllium Powder, Husks, Granuals
Psyllium husk is a natural fiber used to treat constipation and cleanse the bowels of unwanted buildup and toxins. Psyllium is found in health food stores as either a powder or a natural supplement. The fiber can improve digestion and increase the feeling of fullness that allows you to eat less during weight-loss efforts.
.Weight Loss
Fiber from any source is ideal, but psyllium has much more fiber per serving compared with other sources. While 100 grams of psyllium offer 71 grams of soluble fiber, other fiber options such as oat bran only have five per 100-gram serving. Fiber is an essential part of weight loss because it helps keep you full, according to Jennifer Brett, ND, at the Wilton Naturopathic Center in Stratford, Conn. Keeping hunger pains away by using psyllium fiber may help you avoid cravings and lose weight.
Initially, using psyllium for weight loss helps you drop one to three pounds of waste buildup from the intestines. But using it as part of a healthy diet and exercise plan will help you lose weight gradually over time.
How Much Should You Take?
Take one teaspoon of psyllium powder and mix it with eight ounces of warm water. Drink quickly, because the fiber will begin to expand when it is mixed with water. After the initial glass, drink a second eight-ounce glass of water to hydrate the intestines so the fiber moves through them more easily. Because the fiber content is so high, it will absorb most of the moisture in the intestines, pushing out waste and toxins from the body.
Start out with one teaspoon per eight-ounce glass of water for one week and then move up to two teaspoons per cup to cleanse the bowels and provide fullness to the stomach. For weight-loss purposes, take the serving of psyllium each day at least 30 minutes before eating, to prevent overeating.

Bird Crashing in our Window
Our Veranda Tea Pot Garden
Yesterday Sunday 6/12/11 Ron was in the kitchen when we heard a bang on our windows in the front of our mobile home. We both went what was that, looked out the front of kitchen window and saw a wild hawk type of bird, stun ' ed, finally after a few moments it was able to quickly low fly away.
We went outside to check the damanges and the silly thing put a hole in our middle window( about the size a bb gun would have made) then on the lower window the screen was full of chest feathers and liquid, some bloody colored, mostly just liquid from the bird. We looked down and our hosta's were also filled with the small lil feathers from this bird.
I sure hope the bird lived, we figured it must have seen a lizard, or mouse, maybe even a snake and was trying to get it without realising our windows were right there as well. I'm sure glad we were home when it happened as I would have flipped if I looked and saw the hole in the window and thought someone was shooting a BB gun at our house. Boy oh boy did the birdhit hard on the window, thankfully it was double panned, so we'll replace it "God Willing" before winter..

If We Didn't Have Dogs
1. We could walk around the yard barefoot in safety.
2. Our house would have new carpet instead of the twenty-year old stuff
that's down.
3. All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars would be free of dog
hair.
4. When the doorbell rings, it wouldn't sound like a kennel.
5. When the doorbell rings, I could get to the door without falling over
the dog bodies trying to beat me there.
6. We could sit on the couch the way we wanted, without taking into
consideration how much space several fur bodies would need to get
comfortable.
7. We wouldn't have strange presents under my Christmas tree-like dog
bones, stuffed animals or have to answer to people why we wrap them.
8. We wouldn't be on a first name basis with the vets at Loving Hands
Animal Clinic.
9. The most used words in our vocabulary would not be: "out", "sit",
"down", "come", "no", "stay", and "leave him/her/it ALONE".
10. Our computer room wouldn't contain two 3 x 4 foot kennels.
11. Our pockets would not contain things like poo bags, dog treats and an
extra leash.
12. We would no longer have to spell the words B-A-L-L or F-R-I-S-B-E-E or
W-A-L-K.
13. We wouldn't have as many leaves INSIDE the house as outside.
14. We wouldn't look strangely at people who think having their ONE dog
ties them down too much.
15. We'd look forward to Spring instead of dreading "mud season".
16. They'd be lots more room in the king sized bed.
17. Our sleep wouldn't be interrupted by barking whenever an owl hoots or
the neighbor's dog goes out for a midnight stroll.
18. The bill for groceries wouldn't include $9.00 for a bag of Purina One,
$7.99 for Greenies, $10.75 for three jars of Newsome's Puperoni Twisties.
19. We wouldn't have to answer the question "Why do you have two dogs?"
from people who will never have the joy in their life of knowing they are
loved unconditionally by someone as close to an angel as they will ever get.
Yep, if we didn't have dogs, how empty life would be....

Heartfelt Scripture
Psalm 84:11 NIV
For the Lord God is a sun, and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing dows He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
Note:
God does not promise to give us everything we think is good, but He will not withhold what is permantly good. He will give us the means to walk along His paths, but we must do the walking. When we obey Him, He will not hold anything back that will help us serve Him
