ZAKWAS Soup

I was reading this book about wilderness and living in a cabin, and they kept mentioning ZAKWAS soup. At the end of the book was the list of all ingredients. So I wrote them down and tonight I made. All afternoon our home smelled like heaven... Truly is Outstanding

Now because they only listed the ingredients I’ll share what I did.

I cooked ours in the crock-pot on low  for 8-10 hours

ZAKWAS Soup (Polish Soup) (CHOWDER)

1 pkg of Kalbaski cut into bite size pieces

1/2 pkg bacon, cooked and crumbled

3 - 4 c. Chicken broth

1 onion diced

1 carrot diced

2 stalks diced celery

3 or 4 potatoes cut into bite size pieces

1/2 Tbs Marjoram

16oz sour cream

My Optional:

hand full of dried. Tortellini’s

Put all in crock-pot EXCUPT sour cream, Kalbaski & Tortellini’s, and cook on low...

1 hour before finished, add Sour Cream, Kalbaski, & Tortelline’s,  mix, turn to high and cook for last hour.

Serve with fresh bread
