12" Square center Gift Pouch
Materials needed:
H Hook
MC- main color
CB- alternating color

Row 1: with MC color, ch 4, join to 1st ch. Ch 3, 2dc, ch 1, *( 3dc, ch 1) 3 times more, join to top of ch 3 (4 sets of 3 dc, & ch 1 spaces)

Row 2: ch 3, 1 dc in each st to corner. In corner work 2dc ch 2, 2 dc in corner space (Corner made) Around, join

Row 3: repeat row 2

Row 4: ch 3, (WORKING IN BACK LOOPS for this round only) 1 dc in each st, work corners as usual, Join, & finish off

(NOTE) WE’LL CONTINUE TO ROW 5 AFTER WE CREATE POUCH POUCH:

Row 1: With CB Color, 1 sc in each front loop of round 4 around join Rows 2-7: ch 1, - 1 regular sc in each st around, Row 8: ch 3, sk 1 st, 1 hdc, ch 1, in next st, sk 1, (1 hdc, ch 1, in next st, sk 1, st,)*repeat around.Join Row 9: Sl st into ch 1 sp from previous round, 1 sc, ch 2, 1 sc in each ch 1 space around. FINISH OFF

TIE: Ch 65, weave through round 8 to tie, weave in ends
CONTINUE TO ROW 5

Row 5: With right side facing, join CB with slip st in corner sp, ch 3, 8 dc in same sp, *ch 2, skip 3 dc, sc in next dc, (ch 5, skip 3 dc, sc in next dc) twice; ch 2, skip last 3-dc, 9 dc in corner sp; repeat from * around, end with last ch 2, join to beg dc.

Row 6: Sl st in nect dc, ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 5, sk 2 dc, (sc, ch 5, sc, ) next dc, ch 5, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc, (sc 7, sc in next ch 5 loop) twice; ch 7, skip next dc of 9 dc group, sc in next dc; rep from * around, end with last ch 7, join to beg sc; finish off

Row 7: Join MC, attach with sl st in any corner space. Ch 3, 1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in corner sp, *3 dc in ch 5 loop, 5 dc in next 3 ch 7 loops, 3 dc in next ch 5 loop, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in corner (CORNER MADE) *REPEAT Around, Join

Row 8 -10, Repeat row 2

Row 11: 1 HDC in each st around if needed to reach 12", Finish off and tuck in tails
